Mackenzie (Abbott) Spalding is a professional wedding consultant and the owner of One Fine Day-Wedding Consultation. She has been a consultant/coordinator since 1997, and in the wedding business since 1994. Mackenzie has been so honored to participate in some of the finest weddings in the Midwest. There is no greater satisfaction for Mackenzie than the success of these amazing weddings who have entrusted her with their dream day. Mackenzie specializes in planning intricately detailed wedding celebrations that leave guests talking about these weddings for year's to come. One Fine Day Weddings have ranged in guest list size from 50-800 people which makes no two One Fine Day weddings ever alike! That uniqueness is the fun part for Mackenzie. Small intimate horse farm weddings to large elaborate tented celebrity weddings, are only just a portion of Mackenzie's portfolio that she would gladly share with you anytime.

One Fine Day has had weddings and professional advice featured in Martha Stewart's Weddings Magazine, Cincinnati Magazine, the Lexington Herald-Leader, Southern Kentucky Home & Family Magazine, and The Idiot's Guide to the Perfect Wedding (4th and 5th Editions). One Fine Day was also selected as the weddingchannel.com local Kentucky expert on wedding planning.

Mackenzie Spalding has been an active member of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) since September of 1997. Mackenzie prides herself on remaining an active member of the Association learning from and guiding others as they venture into the wedding business also. Attending multiple regional and national conferences annually (Special Event and the ABC's Business of Brides) allows Mackenzie to stay on top of cutting edge changes and ideas of the wedding industry in Kentucky. While being a member of ABC, she has had many wonderful opportunities. Mackenzie has apprenticed with the best of the best senior consultants in the Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky area. Apprenticing gave Mackenzie the opportunity to learn by assisting hands on in the coordination and success of many unique weddings at phenomenal venues including the Basilica at Notre Dame in Indiana, and Downtown Fountain Square in Cincinnati. In 1998, as a novice in the ABC, Mackenzie was awarded the ABC Miss Dorothy Scholarship, which paid for her to attend the annual conference for her deep passion for the wedding industry. The experience she has gained and the knowledge learned with the Association of Bridal Consultants has been tremendous.

Prior to being married July 7, 2001, to Brad Spalding, in a dream wedding of their own, One Fine Day was based in Lexington, Kentucky. After her marriage and move to Bardstown, Kentucky, One Fine Day expanded their Service Area to all of Central Kentucky including Lexington and Louisville (she is willing to go beyond as well). Mackenzie is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. As well as her full-time wedding consulting career, she is a full-time mother to her daughter Carlyn "Carly" Aileen and son, Colton "Cole" David. Prior to the birth of her children, she was also a pediatric nurse at the University of Kentucky Children's Hospital. Her calling in this world is serving and caring for others, which definitely includes Wedding Consultation and carefully handling your special event plans.

Mackenzie is originally from Columbus, Ohio where she spent much of her time working in a Bridal Salon assisting brides in finding their "perfect" gown. Other than talking weddings, Mackenzie's greatest joy includes spending time with family and friends.
